Dr. Alexander's focus and enthusiasm lie in the areas of stroke and neurology. He has honed his skills and expertise over many years of service at San Fernando General Hospital, and through pursuing advanced studies in Stroke Medicine at the esteemed University College London. Dr. Alexander is keenly interested in stroke medicine and research, especially within the context of Trinidad and Tobago.
Amanda Hosein
MBBS, DM, MRCP
Dr Amanda Hosein is a highly qualified physician with extensive experience in internal medicine. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, as well as a Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
Dr Hosein's interest in internal medicine began during her time studying at the University of the West Indies, where she excelled in her studies and developed a passion for helping others. She went on to complete her postgraduate training at several prestigious institutions, including King's College Hospital in London and the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
Throughout her career, Dr Hosein has become known for her exceptional skills in diagnosis and treatment. She has a particular interest in the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease, and is committed to helping her patients achieve optimal health and wellbeing.
Dr Hosein is also a respected educator and mentor. She has been involved in teaching and training medical students and junior doctors for many years, and is known for her patient-centered approach and dedication to the profession.
Despite her many achievements, Dr Hosein remains humble and dedicated to her patients. She is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in medicine and using this knowledge to provide the highest quality care to those in need. Navindra Persad
MBBS, FRCPE, RCPE, MACE
Dr Navindra Persad is a highly skilled physician with over 10 years of experience in Internal Medicine. His area of specialization is in endocrinology, and he is widely recognized as an expert in the field.
Dr Persad has a keen interest in helping all diabetic patients and has dedicated his career to improving the health and well-being of those affected by this chronic condition. His expertise extends beyond diabetes to include other endocrine disorders such as thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary diseases.
Dr Persad's commitment to excellence has been evident throughout his career. He obtained his MBBS degree before undertaking postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCPE), the Royal College of Physicians of London (RCPL), and a Member of the Academy of Clinical Educators (MACE).
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Persad is also an accomplished educator and researcher. He has published several papers on diabetes and endocrinology in international journals and is a sought-after speaker at conferences and seminars.
