Kavita Ramlochan
Haematology
Dr Kavita Ramlochan is a Consultant Haematologist currently serving in the South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) in Trinidad and Tobago. Dr Ramlochan graduated with a degree in Medicine (MB.BS) from the University of the West Indies (UWI). She then completed postgraduate training in Internal Medicine and gained Membership to the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom. Following this, she undertook specialist training in Haematology and was awarded Fellowship to the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) in Haematology. Dr Ramlochan has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of haematological malignancies and is experienced in performing bone marrow biopsy procedures. She has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and regularly presents at local and international conferences. Dr Ramlochan is also actively involved in teaching and supervising medical students, postgraduate medical trainees, and laboratory staff.
A hematologist is a medical specialist who deals with the diagnosis, treatment, and management of various blood disorders, bleeding disorders, and hematological cancers.
